Evaluation question 1

Evaluation question 7 pp from 9ggardner

Camera

To create a unique feel to our media, We use unique camera angles that created a different feel to our opening scene.

Examples:

1)  We chose this camera angle and effect for the ending of our opening scene to make the bodies seem less important in this frame, focusing on our branch and not the body gave an unusual effect to the end of our opening sequence. This helps create a different feel and emotions in the end, making the killing of someone seem more unusual to the audience because they do not know the truth of why this person was killed.

2)   This camera angle and effect (blurring in the corners) helped create a some what different feel to the opening of our media project, This some what strange camera angle showed you what was going on in the background, whilst focusing on the interior of the car this create a  strange feel in this clip, that spray from the vehicle going through the water created a unique transitional feature of this clip, which worked well.

3) This camera angle made the person in the chair look big and have power in the frame,  but when you find he is being  executed this changes the  power and  hierarchy in this scene.

Sound

The music was probably the most important part, it created tension during critical part of the opening scene. The problem was finding music that was non-copyrighted.

The second song was used for the main soundtrack to created a specific atmosphere.  This was perfect music for opening, creating a dramatic atmosphere for the audience . This also was non- copyrighted music.

Mise-en-scene

The mise-en-scene helps create the sense of a gangster genre throughout the opening scene, The Guns help create a sense of power and fear too other characters in the opening scenes. The gangster boss holding the Gun at  the end of the opening sequence shows he has the most power compared to other characters in that scene, this helps Convery a more powerful position in the hierarchy of the group compared to the bodyguards. Without mise-en-scène the character would not have conveyed the right emotions and feelings  to the audience.

The land Rover shows that the gangster has money and that he is of a higher class because he is able to afford a expensive car. These connotations Betray the gangster feel that we wanted in are opening scene.
